Due to certain content, it's difficult to keep a tor2web proxy online as it would appear like if the tor2web proxy is "hosting illegal content".

Tor2web is defining it's acceptable usage policy and abuse handling policy in order to manage the proper balance between the need to support anonymous publishing and the effort required to run such internet-to-tor-hidden-service proxy networks.

Current network blacklist is on Github in file settings.php.

To apply a filter for a specific host, for example BLAHBLAHBLAH.onion you need to:

  • extract the md5 hash of the site without the .onion or .tor2web
  php -r 'print md5("BLAHBLAHBLAH")."\n";'
  • edit file includes/settings.php on your tor2web node
 Add the hash to $CONFIG['blacklist']
